Dr Christian Beardsley

Christian is a specialist general surgeon with advanced training in hepatobiliary surgery, working
in Cairns, Far North Queensland. He has undertaken fellowships in hepatobiliary, liver transplant
and general surgery. His interests are in benign and malignant conditions of the Liver, gall
bladder, bile duct and pancreas. He also enjoys the challenges of endocrine and trauma surgery.

Christian attends MDTs with his colleagues in Austin, Townsville, and Cairns. He works in close
unison with the team at Cairns to ensure specialist surgical service provision to Far North
Queensland.

Christian works closely with he’s colleagues at Cairns Surgical Collaborative to ensure timely
care for patients in the Cairns region. He is passionate about rural health and closing the Gap.

In addition to he’s speciality in HPB, he also is passionate about Endocrine surgery and
Endoscopy. Dr Christian also offers a full compliment of general surgery offered including
varicose veins.
